Week 32: Attergauer Observation Tower & Charlie’s 4th birthday

After last weekend in Hallstatt, we took it easy this weekend.

Yesterday, we drove 35 minutes to the Lichtenberg and took the drone out for a spin at the Attergauer observation tower. The observation tower is 208 steps high and once you reach the top, you have a 360 degree view of the surrounding area.  This is the kind of place no tourist would ever know about. It is located in a very small town off a back road in Upper Austria. Days like this make me thankful for the opportunity to live abroad and explore places most people do not know about.

We started taking rowing lessons! After we complete the next 5 weeks of lessons, we will become members of the rowing club. We learned one of our instructors was on the Austrian national team and went to the 1996 olympics in Atlanta!

Charlie turned 4!! I can not believe our boy is already 4 with a little grey chin. We are grateful to have our Charlie boy and to share our worldly adventures with him. To celebrate his birthday, we took him and Daisy to the dog park to run around. He also got a few new treats and a toy. If you watch the video or follow him on IG, you will see a few clips of him playing with the big balloons. Every time he used his paw or teeth to hit the balloon, I thought it was going to pop. Thankfully it did not.
