Week 38: A Good Day in Gmunden
We stayed close to home this week. With nonstop sunshine and so much to do here it did not make sense to drive somewhere else.
We started our weekend with an hour of rowing and swimming. Then we took the dogs for a walk along the esplanade ending up at a cafe in the town square, listening to a handful of musical performances.
Last week kicked off the beginning of The Salzkammergut Festwochen (Festival weeks) Gmunden–an annual summer festival in the town of Gmunden consisting of music, literature, visual arts, film, and performances. There is an event every week from July to September and attracts many tourists.
This week was spent editing the pictures and video from our neighbors wedding last weekend! Last night we went over to their apartment and watched the video together. With their blessing, I am able to share it here :)
This was my first wedding FILM I put together. Eric helped me so much with capturing their day. I was so focused on taking the still photos, I relied on Eric to get the footage. About 90% of the footage that is seen in this film was from him!! Funny thing is the officiant you hear in the beginning was speaking German and as I was editing I really was not sure if the words I pulled worked for the scene shown… after watching it with the neighbors, they confirmed it was perfect :)
