Week 54: Fall in Gmunden

How is it November already!?

Gmunden has turned completely orange and yellow over the last couple weeks. When we first moved here I was not sure what season was going to be my favorite or the prettiest. They all have their perks. Every few months, I take a photo from the same spot to see how the colors changed. Here is a collage of the four seasons from the same spot in Toscana Park.

The four seasons in Toscana Park.

I did this four season photo challenge when I was in college. I enjoy doing it because it makes you pay attention. If you don’t, you look up one day and all the leaves are gone and you are left wondering where the time went.

Are you inspired by this challenge? Go outside, find a pretty fall location, and get started on your own four season collage!

I think late October/early November is the prettiest time to be here.

Since it is November 7 and the month of being thankful, here are 7 things I am thankful for–

  1. I am thankful to be a freelancer and to have to ability to take off work for most of October to be a tour guide for our friends and family who visited.

  2. I am thankful for the friends and family who took the time to come visit us and excited for many more to visit over the next two years.

  3. I am thankful to have the opportunity to live in another country.

  4. I am thankful for my skills to capture memories and share them with our friends and family.

  5. World vegan day was November 1. I am thankful Eric and I made the choice to go vegan a year ago. I would say we have remained vegan… 94% of the time. We feel it is just one way for us to do good and save animals.

  6. This week has been fairly slow for freelance work, but I am thankful because it gave me time to work on side projects that I will share in the coming weeks. For now, this is your reminder to order a custom illustration for this holiday card season!

  7. Eric flew to America yesterday for a business trip. It is a little weird to be on the other side of the world alone, so I am thankful I have my animals with me!

Since we did not go on any big adventures this week, this week’s video is of our little fall photoshoot. For the photoshoot we just propped my camera up, set it to video and let it capture whatever we did. It was a little challenging because we had no idea if what we were doing was cute, or in frame, or focused. But, they turned out super cute!
