Week 46: Baumkronenweg

We have been given the best weather this week. Nice sunny days and crisp cool nights. If you follow us on Instagram, you have seen us outside almost every day lately.

Until Friday night, anytime we had a clear night sky I wished to be able to capture a good night sky picture. So, I taught myself a couple settings on my Sony A7III and captured the most beautiful pictures of the stars above our house and over the Traunstein. Now we are going to have to start researching beautiful places in the world for night photography, because I am hooked.

Today we ventured to The Baumkronenweg, one of the longest treetop paths in the world.

Walking at 50 feet above the forrest floor with our dogs leading the way. The highlight of this place is the 131-foot-high observation tower with a wonderful view to the Austria-Germany-Czech Republic triangle.

This is a super cool destination if you have young kids.
Just kinda cool for us, but still a nice place to explore.

Not sure we would come back here, except in the winter they decorate the forrest for Christmas and have a tree top hotel guests can stay in.

Might be a nice time to give it another shot, but with all the other Christmas markets going on around Europe, I have a feeling we will opt for new destinations vs repeating.
